A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section
24-1-290 so as to prohibit the Department of Corrections from providing or
permitting exercise equipment for use by prisoners, to provide that any such
equipment owned by the Department must be donated to law enforcement agencies
throughout the State in the manner the General Assembly shall provide, and to
provide any such equipment not owned by the Department but located in any of its
facilities must be returned to the owner within thirty days of the effective
date of this Section.
