Proposed New Mission Statement

At the conference a proposed new mission statement was handed out for comments. The board will be working on it throughout the coming year. A copy of the new proposed mission statement is provided below.

NCRA PROPOSED MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide a national network and resource bank for recreators in jails, juvenile and adult correctional facilities.

The NCRA assists correctional recreators with examples of proven professionally managed programs which are required by law. Programs are structured, cost-effective, enhance safety and security in the correctional setting and enable the offender to make positive choices and behavior changes to help them re-enter society and not be part of recidivism.
